Introducing the Wilks Xtrude Range – Recycled Fendering

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Combining innovation, performance, and sustainability, the Wilks Xtrude range, developed by Flexiteek, sets a new standard for environmentally responsible marine products. With five decades of extrusion expertise, Xtrude was engineered to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, minimise waste, and deliver exceptional durability with a strong and measurable environmental focus. Representing a forward-thinking and practical solution for marine professionals, Xtrude redefines what’s possible in modern marine fendering by delivering high-quality profiles with a significantly reduced environmental impact.

Xtrude incorporates 50% recycled Flexiteek surplus material and is made in part from bio-attributed PVC derived from renewable Tall Oil, a natural by-product of sustainably managed forests. The result is a robust, long-lasting profile that matches the performance of conventional PVC while substantially lowering its environmental footprint.

From production to end use, Xtrude forms part of a closed-loop system that reuses materials, reduces waste, and cuts carbon emissions all while maintaining the strength, reliability, and quality synonymous with the Wilks name.

Xtrude demonstrates that high performance and environmental responsibility can truly coexist. It marks a significant step forward in reducing surplus, lowering emissions, and advancing a more sustainable future for marine manufacturing worldwide.

For more information, visit the Flexiteek team at METSTRADE, stand 03.201, from 18th to 20th November. Samples of Xtrude will be available, along with detailed insights into its sustainability, durability, and enhanced design benefits.
