Product QuestionsDo you have a rep. or company that can preform the installation work ?
Location Cambrils Spain (100km south of Barcelona)Question by: Dennis Nunn on 13 Nov 2017 16:37:00Unfortunately, we do not have any associated business that could perform the installation.
Our Spanish distributor, Baitra, may be able to assist in that regard: http://www.baitra.com/
Otherwise, a local boatyard or marina should be to handle the work that you require which would fall within a maintenance remit. Our aluminium profile fitting guide is available to download for their guidance: https://www.wilks.co.uk/marine/fitting-guides.html
We are sorry that we are unable to provide a better solution to your question at this time.
The Wilks TeamAnswer by: Wilks Team (Admin) on 14 Nov 2017 10:22:00Hi - i have removed the rubbing strip and aluminium profile of my Ranieri 15ft Revolution and i am going to go for the Ali 606 and insert.
There is a right angle bend at the transom. Can you preform this ? I think the bow should be ok but if not can you preform this too ? I can send you the removed aluminum profiles to use as templates if needed ?
Also if you google Ranieri Revolution you will see that the rubbing strip isn't straight and is does slightly bend at the stern end. Will the Ali 606 insert be ok to bend like this ?
RobQuestion by: Rob Turner on 9 Mar 2020 19:02:00Hi Rob
Thank you for your question.
The profile will bend to a 100mm corner radius and we recommend that you view our Aluminium Fendering and PVC Insert fitting guide for step by step instructions: https://www.wilks.co.uk/marine/fitting-guides.html
When bending the profile it is important to pack the profile with insert or stainless steel wire to prevent the profile from collapsing when formed.
Unfortunately, we do not offer this as a service.
We do hope this information helps.
