We recommend using Stelmax which is a clear adhesive and suited for marine conditions:

The plugging should be of a length to touch the screw head it covers. Once glued into position the plugging should be trimmed flush with the surrounding profile before being gently sanded into shape using 40 grit sand paper (following the grain of the surrounding profile).

Hello Ian,

WDK X01 (Stelmax) provides a strong bond between PVC profiles to assist in joining the profiles.

Physical fixings either side of the join will still be required when fitting to provide strength and restrict any shrinkage that may occur to the join in future.
