Product QuestionsCan this product be supplied without the pre drill holes. Would be much better this way for projects were existing fittings are being replaced.Question by: Mark wheeler on 8 Nov 2015 18:55:00Hi Mark,
We would be happy to supply this profile without the pre-drilled holes.
Please contact our sales team directly as we are unable to offer this specification through the website at this stage - https://www.wilks.co.uk/contact-us.html

We do not manufacture rub rail specifically for the Cal 31.
We recommend that you send us a sketch of the profile (including dimensions) or else a small sample of the profile that you wish to match.
Alternatively, we would be happy to send you a sample of our closest match for your evalutation.
The Wilks TeamAnswer by: Wilks Team (Admin) on 2 Oct 2017 08:21:00How do I allow for expansion and contraction in a pvc toerail? I want to replace the rail on 40’ sailboat. Also, how well does the wood-looking pvc hold up to UV, especially in the tropics? I am thinking painted pvc might work best, if pvc is a good option at all. Oh yeah, what sealant is used? Any info, sources of info, you can give me would be greatly appreciated.Question by: Susan Clair on 25 Dec 2018 15:31:00Thank you for your question.
We recommend that the PVC profile is fitted with both screws and a structural adhesive such as Bostik Construction Adhesive (MS Polymer). This will stabilise any movement.
When the profile is stored unfitted there may be some movement in the size.
All of our PVC profiles are made with a UV stabilised PVC polymer. We have seen very little if any UV degradation with these profiles even in high UV countries. In the unlikely occurrence of damage or colour change the surface can be lightly sanded with sand paper (P40-80).
